Wow, doesn't it feel like it today? It seems like the clocks changing at the weekend was a gentle little nudge for Mother Earth to do her stuff!
Ok, so I promised a crafty post today, but my crafting was given to S as a birthday present, and he has taken it to work before I got a chance to snap it, I promise, tomorrow.
Instead, I thought I would let you have a peak at what the babies have been busying themselves with this weekend. Ivy and I chose some "grass" and our new addition - the Easter Bunny, while Oscar picked out a suitable branch, and there we have it, our spruced up nature table, isn't it sweet? S took Oscar to the seafront early one morning a few weeks ago and they came back with the piece of driftwood.
While on the subject of nature, look at my little Ivy's Nature Watch which she did yesterday. She shut her bedroom door and looked out of her window for an hour and this is what she saw (I am loving the mystery beetle on the middle of the list!). Knowing my little girl, she probably spent as much time nosing at the neighbours, but chose not to record that. This little list might justify me purchasing this book, although I am worried it may be a little too American and not very relevant to our magpies and sparrows.
I also really need to share my favourite thing at the moment - my little egg wreath.
And finally for today, the new Cath Kidston magazine arrived this morning, I love that she does these now. So in honour of Cath, I have made a cup of tea, dug out my best vintage table cloth and am going to snaffle one of S's birthday fairy cakes whilst spending half an hour doing imaginary shopping.
Well done! You did so well at finding time to do lots of crafty things over the weekend. I am green with envy. I love the Easter themed nature table and Ivy's nature spotting is great. Isn't it lovely to watch all the wildlife coming to life at this time of year? I got a great book from The Book People a month or so ago. It was called something like The Collins Guide to British Wildlife and has lots of great coloured pictures of birds, animals, trees, plants, flowers, even funghi! I think it would give all ages lots of enjoyment.
Now you've got me wondering where my Cath K magazine has got to! x

Oh my, I want a Cath Kidson magazine! I bet we can't get them in the US. I'll have to check it out. That would be so exciting!

I highly recommend Clare Walker Leslie's nature journaling book. It's awesomely inspiring, and general enough to be useful anywhere, I think.
