Just a quickie today, I have just finished a night shift and have a bit of sleep to catch up on before the school run.
I made this for a friends birthday and am secretly coveting it for myself! No, really these are so her colours, I am far more Duck Egg Blue and Crimson I think, or maybe Fuscia Pink and Eau de Nil, what do you think? You choose I will knit! I am next on the list for a tea cosy! Now for the small print, the pattern is a Rowan Classic and I plagiarised the title of this post from this fabulous book.
Happy Tuesday x
It's fabulous! I'm sure your friend will love it. Pretty and with a purpose - what more can anyone want?
I've just rediscovered a tea cosy my Nana made. It's fuscia pink and grey and I'm really enjoying seeing it each morning. x

Oooooh--now I covet it, too! How fun! And my mother-in-law would LOVE one! I have to add it to the project queue!

I've got a hankering to knit a (crimson and duck egg blue) tea cosy too. I have a zillion of them on my Ravelry queue but none are quite right. Yours is gorgeous!!!
Your title reminded me of an 'overheard' that my husband and I always laugh about. Many years ago his friend (who has an ear for the delightful too) overhead two elderly ladies getting off the bus, one saying to the other "and if we leave now, we'll be home just in time for a nice cup of tea". We quote this to each other regularly when we're out somewhere and one of us wants to leave.
ps. thanks for commenting on my blog so I could come and visit you and see your magnificent tea cosy and lovely blog.

Lovely tea cosy! I love the old fashioned designs, they're so comforting. And i like the detail of the beads, it's things like that, that spell 'love', isn't it?!
