I have been meaning to share my little Christmas present to myself all year, where did that three weeks go? I got a little bit of money as a gift from my in-laws, and spent the whole lot on lovely yummy pure wool DK.
I have since added to this little stash and have a rapidly diminishing little bag of loveliness. My little stash is evolving happily into two very different blankets, the first of which I will share before the end of the week, a cushion cover for a special girls birthday - is it weird to give a nine year old a cushion cover as a gift? and one or two little secrets.
I hope to replace yarn as I use it and create my own never ending stash of DK, what I am really enjoying is using the same yarn to create very different projects
Lack of posts lately are not only due to bumped heads, bad weather etc, but there is hardly ever any decent light for good photos, I'll bet I am not alone in this predicament, Blogland does seem rather quiet lately.
I have some serious wool envy at the moment. What a wonderful gift and such gorgeous colours. One day I would love to do a huge crochet blanket, but to start from scratch and get all of the different colours is just a bit too far out of my budget at the moment. Can't wait to see what you're working on.

Lovely wool! Can't wait to see the finished articles. Blogland is quiet - I'm having the same problem with photos too and every post i start to draft mentions the weather so I abandon... I don't want to send everyone to sleep. Having said that I still enjoy reading other bloggers weather observations!

Stash envy. That's what this bad feeling is. I'm very happy for you though Lucy . Sigh. At least I think I am. . . .

Lovely Colours ... I am trying to crochet at the moment ... but finding it oh so difficult to get a straight edge to my squares .. they are more like wobbly wavey shapes .. is it tension?? how do you make them straight ?? Help its driving me bonkers.. lol.
